It's in the can!

That's video lingo for filming being finished and now on to the editing process. We had a very long two days of shooting but things went very smoothly and I think we will have another very good DVD to offer you.

A couple of the 3 cameras we use.

Todd, the video master doing something all technical-ish.

Wendy and I were hungry after all that work!

Not to mention my near death experience the 2nd evening of filming. I went to my car to get the bag of Hershey kisses I had bought earlier because we all needed a chocolate fix bad at that point. The moment I stepped into my garage I was face to face with a 95 pound possum baring his 6 inch teeth at me and he said "You look yummy." I screeched for Todd who tried to chase him off with a broom, but the bastard (the possum, not Todd) would not go! So Todd held the critter at bay while I ran around the car and back into the house. (Todd is my hero.) Never did find the damn kisses. The stupid Walgreen's guy must have not put them in my bag when I checked out. Nearly lost my life and not even a piece of candy to show for it.

I will post more behind the scenes photos at a later date. I have a busy next few days as I have to get my mess from the shoot cleaned up and make 2 cakes for the weekend. I will post again next week with some incredibly mind blowing interesting entries. As soon as I think of them.

Have a great weekend!

Sharon, you gave me a much needed laugh this morning! I remember a possum perching on the wooden fence behind our chain link. The dog was in a frenzy, so mom went out(in her robe & slippers) and shook the broom at it & yelled some, too. A scary sight, but the possum just stubbornly sat there until she used the broom to shove him off the fence then he ambled away like nothing happened.

Possum are my least favorite animal. They're yucky and ugly and they WILL NOT run away. EWWWWW

Thank you so much for the laugh, Sharon, I really needed that. You just don't know how much! Possum can really put up a good fight.

Can't wait to see what the next DVD is about. I'm sure I will add it to my collection (I only have one DVD at the moment but it will be a collection soon). I need all the help I can get.

Thanks again for the laugh. Have a great week.

Possums are so yucky !!! When we lived in the country just a couple yrs ago we had outside cats and they had a house on the deck and there was a big ole possum that would sleep in the house with the cats when ever it was real cold out!
We found out by reaching in their house and having beadie eyes and big ole teeth greet us back! You notice how I never said Cat House LOL!!!

I'll be laughing over your possum story for a while yet! Just keep telling yourself that "Possums are good, they are God's nightime cleanup crew, Possums are good"!! We live in the a cul-de-sac of a neighborhood and have lots of possums, coons, and deer too!

Next time, do what I do....shoot the thing and make a pie! Under that whipped cream/cool whip, no one will know for sure it is really is a possum or not!

Possum Pie
6 ounces cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
1 (9-inch) graham cracker crust
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1/3 cup instant chocolate pudding mix
1/4 cup instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups cold milk
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup whipping cream, whipped
12 to 16 pecan halves

In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Spread onto bottom of crust. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. In another mixing bowl, combine pudding mixes. Add milk and vanilla extract; beat on low speed for 2 minutes. Spoon over the pecans. Refrigerate at least 2 hours. Top with whipped cream and pecan halves.

Yields 8 servings.
